Lego League Explore

Fostering a passion for science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) among young learners, the FIRST LEGO League Explore is a pivotal program that introduces children in grades K-3 to the marvels of engineering and technology. This innovative program, specifically tailored for enthusiastic learners aged 5-9, takes a hands-on approach to unravel the complexities of real-world issues. Here, young minds in Brown County aren’t just exposed to theoretical knowledge; they’re encouraged to delve into the realm of practical solution-finding, employing LEGO bricks and the dynamic functionality of LEGO Education robots.

The season runs September through December, and students meet one time per week for about 2 hours. During this time, they are presented with a real world problem that they build a mobilized structure around. The structure is built from LEGOS and coded using basic Scratch coding principles. Students are taught the core values of FIRST which include: Teamwork, Discovery, Innovation, Impact, Inclusion, and Fun.
